We dive into the black and white tundra. Isolated isles of suburban enclaves, trailer park towns and shopping mall complexes, are the dots in a heavily secured land, guarded by watchtowers. We are at the border of an artificial polar circle, a beam of light refracted by skeleton cubes on the land’s barren ridges, invisible to the eye. Black retrievers guard the fences that lead from one suburban highway junction to the next. Heavy concrete columns rise up into the sky, where they collide in a machine where only animals seem to go… Welcome to No-Risk Land.
